FCCA Vice-Chair Paolo Sciancamerli has been spearheading an effort over the last two years focused on lamppost maintenance, one area is around light bulbs and the other is actual maintenance of the posts. Two weeks ago, work started on painting our lamppost throughout Furry Creek.
The FCCA AGM was held on 29 May with good turnout, a new Board was elected and changes to FCCA Bylaws was adopted, the first BoD was on 16 June, the minutes are here.

Save Your Spot

Summer is here, Furry Creek shows itself from its most beautiful side! Orcas, humpbacks, salmon and sealions visit as do deer and other furry creatures. Lounge by the beach or enjoy the view from the spit.

Through funding from the SLRD the FCCA have hired a caretaker for beach and trails, one day a week our caretaker will spend time making sure these are cleared and debris is removed. We will have this in place throughout 2025 as we pilot this. Watch for more about our caretaker and the program in the BoD minutes coming after June 16th.
The women's book club requested a grant from the SLRD for a community library, which was granted and the new library is now open, at the of top Furry Creek Drive. Loan - drop a book!
Our First Nation Heritage

Dams on Phyllis and Marion Lake and Furry Creek redirected water from Furry Creek to the Britannia mine for power generation. More...
