Save Your Spot

Fall is here, the mountains have gotten their first dusting of snow, colours are changing, the wind starts to howl and whales and birds migrate and bears start to turn in... Cozy up with your blanket and a hot cocoa and take in the still stunning views and if you are walking, stay warm and enjoy the trails and smells of fall!
New SLRD Wildfire Landscaping Bylaw
There is a new bylaw for all Electoral Areas of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District – the Wildfire Landscaping Management Bylaw. This bylaw supports community wildfire resiliency by addressing landscaping practices and vegetation planted in close proximity to buildings and structures. The bylaw also supports implementation of the FireSmart™BC landscaping best practices, and is more of an educational tool rather than an enforcement tool.
